The images have been organized according to the film magazine they came out of. All the pictures ever clicked on the lunar surface are also a part of this collection. The Project Apollo Archive consists of images from Apollo 7, 8, 9 and 10 test missions and also the actual landings. The images were clicked on Hasselblad cameras that the astronauts carried with them to the moon and these images are scans of the original film. Now, all the images that were clicked during the Apollo missions, have been put up in hi-res glorious 1800dpi detail on Flickr for everyone to see. That man won’t be setting foot on any other satellite/planet for a foreseeable future makes the Apollo missions truly a landmark in human history. More people have been launched into space, but never went beyond the earth's orbit. Just to put things in perspective, only 12 people in history have ever set foot on the moon. NASA’s moon landing Apollo missions are probably mankind’s biggest achievement till date.
